These
workshops are for all those who value good, nourishing and enduring relationships
with others. Naturally that is dependent on the quality of your own relationship
with yourself. We will be exploring different ways to keep your anxiety
and stress down and your excitement in life more available to you. Some
of the life sustaining adjustments that we learned in our families of
origin can be creatively reframed as adults. New skills and awareness
can emerge and be integrated in this safe environment as we work together.
Throughout the 2 days there will be time to work with your own personal
issues and concerns in the world. We will explore how you make unique
contact with yourself and how belief systems as well as past negative
experiences can be the determining factors in not getting your real needs
met. There will be specific tailoring of techniques and approaches for
each individual.

Introduction To Gestalt
Cost: $300
Venue: 3 Church Street Waverley from 9:30 - 5:30pm.
This workshop is led by Philip Oldfield, Co-Director of Sydney Gestalt
Institute who has worked with Sydney Gestalt Institute since 1986.
A general overview of gestalt is given outlining the simplicity and powerful
nature of how this modality works with expansion of awareness and encourages
growth, wholeness and integration. He will offer an opportunity for gestalt
experiments working with Found Objects.

Are
you curious about gestalt therapy and would like to know more about how
it works?
You are invited to participate in our Clinic where members of the public
are given an hour of therapy for free by our trainee students. This is
a fully supervised session and confidentiality is assured.
You can choose to attend on Monday or Wednesday evenings from 6:15pm until
7:15pm or on Saturdays from 10:00am until 11:00am or from 1:00pm until
2:00pm, you will be working with trainee therapists in a small group of
3 or 4 people who are trainees obsevrving the process.
You are most welcome to attend and experience gestalt - a supportive and
contactful process!

The Course
This course has been accredited under the Higher Education Act as a post Graduate Diploma in Gestalt Therapy. It is also accredited with GANZ, our professional association.

We
are offering two First Level session times for 2008. These will be Thursday
afternoons from 12.30pm till 4pm and Thursday evening at 6:00pm - 9:30pm.
Second Level sessions will be held on Wednesday nights 6pm -9.30pm. Third
Level sessions will be on Monday nights 6:00pm - 9:30pm and Fourth Level
will be on Tuesdays 6:00pm - 9:30pm. All sessions apart from Fourth level
will be held at 3 Church Street, Waverley. Fourth level will be at 53
Smith St, Surry Hills.
The weekend workshops will be held at The Centre, 14 Frances Street, Randwick,
9.30am till 5.30pm.
Dates are March 29 & 30 for First and Second Years and April 12 &
13 for Third and Fourth Years; June 21 & 22 for First and Second Years
and June 7 & 8 for Third and Fourth Years; September 6 & 7 for
First Years and September 20 & 21 for Second, Third and Fourth Years
and the residential will be on October 16th (from 5pm) until the 19th
(until 3pm).
